METC

I attended the METC conference during those two snow days in January. It is a technology conference and I attended a very cool session about tricks on the internet and other cool stuff. Here is the link of the presentor. This page has all of her sesions. I went to "Tammy's Favorites."

In the webtools section, some of the things I liked were- jamstudio.com (to create original pieces of music), vozme.com (takes a piece of writing and reads it out loud), jing.com (takes a screenshot and allows you to add things. I will be using this to make tutorials for my library website), picnic (photo editing), magic pen (very cool critical thinking game), various Google tools, Google earth and Google sketchup. I can show you any of these if you want me to.

Does anyone have any other cool sites that they use?

I am creating this blog so we can have a place to share resources and share our successes.

My desired outcome is that this blog helps to bring the staff together and creates a little comradely, as well as teaches all of the staff something that they did not know previously. I think this will be a good way for us to share their successes and resources.
